Post-Modern Magic

Like alchemy, making art is the act of transforming  and combining materials in order to create new things. Learning every step of the way is fundamental, and mistakes are made without shame. In this way, art making is also like a game, where mimicry and mockery are toys of the trade.

Although I am inspired by many historical art movements from the renaissance to surrealism and neo-expressionism, I am most inspired by art outside of 'high' art, like cartoons, comic books, and fantasy & science-fiction films.
